How do you feel having all your memes, blogposts, private videos filtered by a European censorship machine? How do you feel when you cannot make copies of your own cultural content? How does copyright affect freedom of expression in our daily lives? And most importantly, what can we do together in order to change this situation where multinationals speak on behalf of authors and limit our fundamental rights? The Budapest workshop of the School of Rock(ing) EU Copyright<\/strong> is a part of an international series of events in Europe and will address these issues.<\/p>\n The School of Rock(ing) EU Copyright<\/strong> objectives are to engage participants and form a copyfighter Action-Team to push users\u2019 rights on the EU policy-making agenda. Participants will identify the main copyright concerns of public interest, and how these issues can be brought to the core of public debate, how to involve citizens and politicians both at an European and local levels in these discussions. The main goals of the workshop will be to:<\/p>\n The Center for Independent Journalism invites young professionals and activists from Hungary who are motivated and dedicated to advocate for better copyright reform to attend the October workshop.
